Technical SEO & Site Health plans

Keep your site fast, indexed, and measured correctly. On a predictable quarterly schedule.

I handle technical SEO, performance, and analytics for your site. You get clear reports and a healthy site without chasing the details yourself.

Technical SEO plans for Craft CMS and Statamic sites in Western Canada. Clean indexation, faster pages, and clear reports for small teams that want results without hiring a full agency.

Trusted by 40+ organizations since 2010. Some for over 12 years.

Why it matters

Your site ages whether you touch it or not.

How search is changing

What hosting does not cover

Content accumulates, internal links break, and performance degrades as images and scripts pile up.

Your hosting plan keeps the backend stable, but it does not watch how the outside world sees your site, whether your pages still match how people search, or if your analytics are measuring the right things. A quarterly check catches these while they are still small.

For non-profits, this can mean fewer people finding your programs, a donation form that quietly stops working, or a funder visiting a site that looks neglected.

What the plans cover

Quarterly checks, clean indexation, and reliable analytics.

Faster pages
Core fixes for mobile and desktop, with improved page speed, stability, and page experience scores.
Clean indexation
Fewer 404s, smart redirects, tidy sitemaps and robots.txt, and a preferred page version set for search (canonicals).
Reliable analytics
Meaningful events, spot checks on key pages, a concise dashboard you can trust.
Stable updates
Checks before and after CMS updates, with quick fixes if something breaks.
Better discovery
Sensible internal linking, structured data, and clearer context for search engines and AI tools.
Performance monitoring
Automated alerts for uptime, broken links, and performance.

Starting point

Every plan starts with a one-time review.

A focused review of your site structure, page titles, indexing, broken links, performance, structured data, and analytics setup. You get fixes applied and a short summary of what was found, what changed, and what to improve next.

  • Rewrite or improve titles and meta descriptions for key pages.
  • Fix how Google discovers and indexes your pages.
  • Add structured data so search engines and AI tools understand your business.
  • Verify analytics and Google Search Console are measuring correctly.

During the review, I request read-only access to Google Search Console. Write access is only added if you move into an ongoing plan.

from $950 CAD, scoped to your site

This sets priorities for the quarterly plan. Most clients move into Site Health Lite or SEO & Site Optimization once the review is complete.

Eligibility

When these plans are a good fit

  • Scope: Technical SEO and site health, no link building or content campaigns.
  • New to Webmarks or returning to active SEO: Start with a one-time review to set priorities, then move into a plan once we know what matters most.
  • Plan changes: Switch tiers at the start of any quarter. Upgrades can begin immediately if capacity allows and are prorated.

How it works

A planned retainer with regular checks and clear communication

Each quarter

Hours are scoped and planned. You receive a summary with a changelog of every change made, outcomes, and next priorities.

Site Health Lite gets high-impact checks and light tune-ups. SEO & Site Optimization gets deeper diagnostics, structured data polish, and a prioritized roadmap.

Full scope of quarterly checks →

Between quarters

Monthly health checks cover uptime, performance, SSL, broken links, sitemap, and DNS.

High-impact issues get next business day acknowledgment. Quick fixes for broken links, minor template errors, and analytics triggers are usually resolved within two business days.

Scope and upgrades

Included: technical SEO fixes, staging rehearsals, deployments, and post-deploy QA. CMS upgrades fit inside plan hours when capacity allows.

Out of scope: net new features, large template rebuilds, and custom plugin fixes. These are quoted separately.

Growth add ons

Add focused growth work when it makes sense

Enable add ons quarterly, usually one at a time (two if capacity allows). All add ons ship inside the quarterly cadence, with ad safety and conversion tracking validated before spend.

Reporting and results are summarized in your quarterly report.

Content

Publish one article per month that drives internal linking and search visibility.

  • Brief to publish, outline, writing, and editing.
  • On page optimization and schema.
  • Internal links to key pages.

Google Ads

One campaign, bi weekly optimizations, conversion tracking. Ad spend is client billed.

  • Account setup or refresh, conversion tracking verified.
  • Bi weekly bid and keyword tuning.
  • Ad copy tests and negative keywords.

AI visibility

Make target pages easier for assistants to cite and improve answer accuracy.

  • Concise FAQs and definitions.
  • Sourced statistics and citations.
  • Relevant schema and tidy meta.
  • Editor guidance on titles and summaries.

Newsletter

Ship one newsletter per month aligned to site content.

  • Light: copy edits and template tweaks, one monthly send.
  • Full: drafting and editing, light design and template updates, one monthly send.

Scoped to your plan capacity. Larger campaigns are quoted.
Add ons can be enabled one quarter at a time, or paused the next quarter. Billed quarterly, and requires Managed Hosting and CMS Maintenance.

Who this is for

Small teams that care about a healthy site

Small businesses, non profits, and community organizations using Craft CMS or Statamic. Available to current clients and approved migrations across Western Canada, and right for small teams that update content occasionally or publish regularly.

Bringing in an SEO or marketing partner

I handle the technical side so your agency can focus on strategy.

If you work with a marketing or SEO specialist for content, campaigns, or link building, I make sure their recommendations are implemented correctly on your site. I already manage your CMS, hosting, and deployment, so changes go live faster with less risk.

  • What I implement: redirects, indexation, Core Web Vitals, structured data, analytics setup, and CMS changes. Rehearsed on staging, logged, and rolled back if needed.
  • What your partner focuses on: content strategy, link building, keyword research, campaigns, and competitive analysis.
  • If you switch partners: nothing breaks on your site. Technical SEO stays in place because it is handled directly on your site, not through a third party.

Frequently asked questions

Practical details about maintenance level SEO

Designed for maintenance level SEO, with clear answers to the questions clients ask most.

In scope, technical SEO fixes, rehearsal and safe deployment, post deploy QA, and release notes. Out of scope, net new features, template rebuilds, multi page rewrites, and custom plugin fixes. Those are quoted separately or handled with prepaid blocks. Plans support Craft CMS and Statamic. Migrations are by approval and scoped separately.
CMS upgrades fit inside plan hours when capacity allows, and are always scoped and rehearsed on staging first. Larger upgrades are scheduled across quarters or quoted separately. Minor updates stay in Hosting and CMS Maintenance.
Each month, I run health checks. Each quarter, I complete a deeper audit and refresh, depending on your tier. High impact issues get same day acknowledgment on business days. Emergency fixes for broken redirects and 404s are prioritized inside your plan hours.
I set up clean properties, goals, and events tied to real outcomes, with lightweight dashboards and Search Console integration. Plausible is used for privacy friendly, cookie free tracking. GA4 is used when you need richer attribution and consent applies. Post release checks keep your data trustworthy.
Directional only means we track a small set of priority terms to spot trends over time, not exhaustive keyword monitoring or daily fluctuation reports. It informs technical SEO decisions without spending hours on full scale tracking. Google’s own guidance on third-party SEO tools notes that no external tool has access to internal ranking data. That is why we use rank checks directionally, not as absolutes.
Most clients start with Plausible under my Webmarks account, included as part of the plan. If you prefer to own the account directly, I can transfer ownership at any time. GA4 is available when you need richer attribution.
If you do nothing, quiet problems pile up. Pages can drop from search, Core Web Vitals get worse, redirects and 404s add up, and analytics drift makes reporting unreliable. Regular maintenance protects rankings, preserves visibility, and keeps your data clean.
No. No one can guarantee a specific ranking on Google. Google says so directly. I focus on measurable technical health: faster pages, clean indexation, reliable analytics, and structured data. These give your site the best foundation for search performance, but rankings depend on many factors outside any single provider’s control.

Not sure which service you need

We figure it out together.

You do not need a perfect brief. A short conversation is usually enough to see whether you need a new site, an audit, or a care plan.

Bring what you have, a link to your current site if it exists, rough timing and budget, and a sense of what is not working. I bring questions, experience, and a calm view.

If you want a sense of what working together feels like in practice, you can read client testimonials.
