Website Improvement

Fix it or start fresh? Find out what your site really needs.

We look at your current site together and talk honestly about the best path. Sometimes focused fixes are enough. Sometimes a site is too old to keep patching, and starting fresh costs less in the long run.

Book a 30 minute call

No pitch, no pressure. Whatever your site is built on, we start with a conversation.

Process

Three steps from “something is off” to a clear next move.

You leave with an honest answer and a next step that fits your budget and capacity.

  1. 1

    Step one

    Short call

    What we do

A 30 minute call where we look at your site together, clarify what “not working” means, and talk about visitors, leads, and what frustrates your team.

    What you bring

Your site URL, and a few examples of what is not working, like confusing inquiries, pages nobody can update, or forms that go nowhere.

    What you receive

A first read on whether your site is worth fixing or ready for a fresh start. No obligation.

How this feels: a calm look at where you are now, without pressure to commit to more than you need.

  2. 2

    Step two

    Honest recommendation

    What we do

Look more closely at your platform, structure, content, and how your team uses the site, then weigh the cost of fixing against starting fresh.

    What you bring

Honest answers about how your team uses or avoids the site, and a rough idea of budget and timing.

    What you receive

A clear recommendation in plain language, with a quote for the path that makes sense.

How this feels: the vague sense that “something is off” turns into a decision you understand.

  3. 3

    Step three

    Your next step

    What we do

Either fix and care for your current site, or plan a new one on a solid base. Both paths are explained below.

    What you bring

A sense of priorities, for example “forms and booking flows first, then speed, then structure.”

    What you receive

A site that works for visitors and feels safe for your team to edit, plus a plan for what comes next.

How this feels: steady progress instead of one giant project you never start.

Where it leads

Two honest outcomes.

Depending on what we find, the next step is usually one of these.

Fix and care

Your site has a solid base.

For sites on Craft CMS or Statamic, we start with a site health review, apply the fixes that matter most, and keep things healthy with a care plan.

Start fresh

Your site is too old to keep patching.

We move what still works to a new site on a solid platform, keep your search rankings, and set you up so your team can edit with confidence.

Before we talk

Is this the right starting point?

A quick way to see if this path fits your situation before we talk.

A good fit if

  • Your site exists, but is not bringing many inquiries or bookings.
  • It is outdated, has not been maintained in years, or nobody is sure how it was built.
  • Team members are nervous to update content, in case they break something.
  • You suspect slow pages, 404s, or past SEO work might be causing issues.

Not ideal if

  • You need a complete rebrand, new name, or a complex ecommerce build.
  • You want a quick visual refresh on top of an unstable platform.
  • You expect daily changes on a very small budget.

A quick story

When "the site seems fine" is costing you bookings.

Banff Transportation Group's site looked fine on the surface. But every quote request form was silently failing after users hit submit. The team knew something was off, but did not realize the extent of the problem until we talked through the site together.

What we found

Every form on the site was broken on submission. Mobile users were being redirected to a separate, less functional version of the site. Several outdated pages were still ranking in search results and sending visitors to dead ends.

What changed

We rebuilt the site on Statamic with reliable forms, a single responsive design, and cleaner content. The team noticed more quote requests immediately after launch.

It started with a conversation about what was not working. That was enough to show the site needed more than fixes, and the rebuild was grounded in what we found.

Common questions

Honest answers before you decide.

Our site is on WordPress. Can you still help?

Not with fixes or maintenance on the WordPress site itself. I build and care for sites on Craft CMS and Statamic, which are easier for teams to edit and simpler to keep secure. If your site feels hard to update or is holding you back, let's talk. We can look at what you have, which pages matter most for visitors and search, and what a move to Craft or Statamic would involve. If staying on your current platform makes more sense, I will tell you, and a specialist in that platform will serve you better. Start a conversation →

Will you just tell us to rebuild the site anyway?

Only if it is the better path. A full rebuild makes sense when the platform, structure, or content are holding everything back. If focused fixes will do the job, I will tell you, and they also make any future rebuild more grounded.

We worked with an SEO person before. Will this undo their work?

The goal is to protect what is working and fix what is not. If there is existing SEO work in place, the review considers it and highlights where that work helps or hurts visitor experience and long term visibility.

Who actually does the fixes?

We decide together. I can handle changes directly, support your internal team, or work alongside another Craft or Statamic developer.

What if we decide to redesign later?

Everything we learn carries forward. What we find about your visitors, content, and what is not working becomes the brief for a new build, whether we do it together or you work with another partner.

Next step

Not sure whether to fix it or start fresh?

You do not need a huge report. You need a clear view of what is broken, what to fix first, and what can wait.

Bring a link to your current site, a rough idea of timing and budget, and a sense of what is not working. I bring questions, tools, and a calm, honest review. No obligation, no pressure to commit to more than you need.
