Website services

Website services that cover content, build, and long term care.

I help small teams in Western Canada, including non‑profits, plan and design new websites, improve existing ones, and keep them healthy. You do not have to juggle multiple vendors or learn a new tool for every step.

Most projects combine content and structure, custom design, a clean build on Craft CMS or Statamic, and ongoing care. We choose what you actually need, not a one size fits all package.

New websites and redesigns

Custom websites that start with content and end with a calm CMS.

We start with visitors and content, not templates. The goal is a site that feels clear to visitors and safe to edit for your team, built on a platform that will last.

Service

Custom web design

Design for new sites or redesigns that prioritizes visitor clarity and simple paths, not decoration. Layouts support real tasks like booking, donating, or contacting you.

  • Your current site feels dated or off brand.
  • People keep asking for basic information by email or phone.
  • You are willing to do some real work on content.

Outcomes

  • Clear page hierarchy and navigation.
  • Content visitors can understand on the first read.
  • Layouts that guide people to a sensible next step.

Includes content planning support, wireframes, accessible interface design, and key page templates with notes on messaging.

Includes field design and descriptions, sensible defaults, training sessions, and recorded walkthroughs your team can revisit.

Audits and improvements

Understand what is off, then fix it in steady steps.

When a site looks fine but is not bringing inquiries, you rarely need a dramatic rebuild first. It helps to understand where visitors are getting lost and why the site feels fragile to your team.

Service

Website audits

A focused review of your existing site to see what is not working for visitors and for your team. The output is short and practical.

Good when you feel something is off but you are not sure whether to improve or rebuild.

Outcomes include a summary in plain language and a list of fixes grouped by impact and effort, so you can make informed decisions. This is often the first step for non‑profit projects.

Service

SEO and site health

Technical SEO and performance work that makes your site easier to crawl and faster to use, without tricks or jargon heavy reports.

Good when you see slow pages, 404s, or inconsistent search results and want a healthier base for visitors and search engines.

Outcomes include fewer dead ends, better local visibility, and a more resilient setup for future improvements.

Service

UX and content improvements

Small structural and content changes that remove friction for visitors, based on what we learn in audits and day to day use.

Good when you are not ready for a new site but want more clarity in journeys and calls to action on key pages.

Often combined with support plans so improvements can be made gradually, without overloading your team.

Care and support

Keep your website fast, clear, and quietly doing its job.

New build or not, your site needs care after launch. Support plans make it easier to keep things updated, healthy, and aligned with how your organization actually works.

Clients often say they feel calmer about their website after a few months of care, you can read a few of their words on the testimonials page.

Essentials care

For smaller sites that need a calm, reliable partner to keep things tidy and watched.

  • Regular platform, plugin, and offsite backup management, with restores verified on staging or local when needed.
  • Periodic broken link and 404 checks.
  • Easy to use, privacy friendly website analytics with Plausible.
  • Email support for questions about your site and care plan, with clear answers, not jargon.

Typical clients: local service businesses, small non-profits, and tourism operators with simple brochure style sites.

Growth care

For sites that drive bookings and inquiries, where each small improvement matters.

  • Everything in Essentials care.
  • Quarterly checks on key journeys, technical SEO, and performance.
  • Your analytics dashboard reviewed together each quarter, with clear next steps.
  • A small, planned set of content and layout improvements each cycle, agreed together based on what we see in real use.

Typical clients: hotels, tour operators, membership organizations, and bilingual sites with frequent updates.

Project plus care

For new builds or redesigns that include a clear path for the first year after launch.

  • Care plan baked into the project scope.
  • Editor training in Craft CMS or Statamic.
  • Post launch fixes and refinements based on real use.
  • A simple roadmap for future improvements.

Ideal if you want one person to guide strategy, design, development, and ongoing care through the first year, then help you choose the right long term plan.

Care plans are usually added after an audit or new build. On a call we can decide together whether you need ongoing support or occasional help.

How projects usually work

One partner, clear steps, whether it is a new site or an improvement.

The exact shape of the work changes, the structure stays familiar. We understand your context, plan realistic changes, implement carefully, then care for the site.

This applies to new builds, focused audits, or ongoing support. You always know which step we are in and what I need from you.

  1. Short conversation to understand visitors, goals, constraints, and whether you need a new site, an audit, or support.
  2. Simple plan and estimate scoped to your budget, written in plain language so your team can review it.
  3. Implementation in focused cycles, with check ins and room for feedback without losing momentum.
  4. Launch or roll out of changes, with a clear summary of what changed and why.
  5. Care and follow up, from a few months of support to a formal plan if that suits your site.

Some clients only need one or two steps. Others move through the full arc over time. We choose a path that matches your situation.

Service questions

A few practical details before you choose a path.

Do you offer one off small fixes or only projects and care plans?

The most useful work happens through audits, projects, or support plans. Very small fixes are sometimes possible, usually when we already work together, but I am not a general help desk for any site on the internet.

Can you work with our existing designer or developer?

Yes, in many cases. I can focus on content structure, CMS build, or technical health while you keep existing visual or marketing partners. On a call we decide how roles should be split so things stay clear.

Do you only work on Craft and Statamic?

New builds are on Craft CMS or Statamic. Audits and some improvements can be done on platforms like WordPress as well. If a platform is actively holding you back, the audit will make that clear so we can talk about options.

How do you handle budgets and changes in scope?

Each engagement has a clear scope and range. If new ideas appear we discuss them explicitly, then either reshuffle priorities or agree on a separate phase. No quiet scope creep, no surprise invoices.

Can we start small and grow the engagement?

Yes. Many clients start with an audit or a contained project, then move into support or a larger redesign once they see how we work together. The goal is to match the work to your real capacity and risk tolerance.

Not sure which service you need

We can figure out the right path together.

You do not need a perfect brief. A short conversation is usually enough to see whether you need a new site, an audit, or a care plan.

Bring what you have, a link to your current site if it exists, rough timing and budget, and a sense of what is not working. I bring questions, experience, and a calm view.

If you want a sense of what working together feels like in practice, you can read client testimonials.
